The patio will be licensed for 100 people. ALE will provide table service (beer/wine/coolers and a casual-fare menu), offering cashless transactions (by credit card or by setting up an account with signing privileges). The menu will include burgers, fries, poutine, nachos, chicken fingers, sandwiches and salads. Some items will be directly from ALE’s regular menu and some will be classified as “poolside only.” Of course, anyone looking for ALE’s regular restaurant items will be welcome to order from the restaurant menu too.
General Use Reminders
As always, two lifeguards will be on duty during the family swim time and a variety of pool toys will be on hand. There is a limit of 100 people at one time in the pool proper; however, there is no limit on the capacity of the surrounding deck seating area other than our furniture capacity. While we will have seating for 62 people this year, our larger deck area will certainly accommodate more seating. We will continue to add more furniture each year until we get to a comfortable capacity with which everyone is happy; in the meantime, if the existing furniture is in use you are welcome to bring your own chair to use on the deck.
Pool members and guests are asked to check-in at the pro-shop before entering the pool area. Indoor lockers are available for daily use and locks will be available to rent in the pro shop.
- No person is permitted to use the pool without first having taken a warm water shower using soap.
- No person having an obvious communicable disease, skin eruption, cut, sore or lesions, eye, ear, nose, or throat infection, is permitted to use the swimming pool.
- Spitting or spouting of water, blowing the nose or any other similar activity in the swimming pool is strictly prohibited.
- No running, boisterous or rough play (except supervised water sports) is permitted in the pool, or on the deck, diving boards, floats, or platforms, or in the dressing rooms.
If COVID restrictions persist into the summer months, the Club will have to make adjustments according to Ottawa Public Health regulations. This is expected to include restrictions on the number of guests in the pool area. Please monitor the two Facebook pages (Amberwood Village) and Amberwood Village Golf and Country Club to stay up to date.
